Max Eberl, the new sport director of Bayern Munich?
Sky and Bild newspaper have reported that Max Eberl is expected to be announced as the new sport director of Bayern Munich soon. However, Bayern needs to pay a transfer fee to RB Leipzig.
The supervisory board of Bayern Munich will meet end of February to close the deal. Eberl expects a long-term contract.
Uli Hoeness, the ceremonial president of Bayern Munich, wants Eberl to fill the vacant position after Hasan Salihamidzic was relieved from the post.
Hertha BSC president dies
Kay Bernstein, the Hertha BSC president, died this week “unexpectedly” aged 43.
The club is in mourning over the death of Bernstein.
According to the Frankfurt Oder prosecutor’s office, Bernstein died from a natural cause and no signs of external influence.
Friedhelm Funkel praise Granit Xhaka and Exequiel Palacios
Friedhelm Funkel, who was a guest of Doppelpass, praised the Swiss man, Granit Xhaka and the Argentinian Exequiel Palacios as the best number six in the Bundesliga.
“For me, Palacios and Xhaka are by far the two best six-man players in the Bundesliga…Bayern would be happy if they had one of the two six-man players on the team. These are two players who would play for Bayern Munich. The other teams don’t have that.,” he said.
